I
was inspired to do Aquatic Images,
because I enjoy the idea of playing with areas of pure, bold
color and texture to convey a sense of mood.
At
the same time, I like the idea of comparing and contrasting
broad paint strokes and colors with minute detail. Studying
an object or environment by breaking down its form and content
to its components allows the viewer to experience the subject
in a new way. And forces them to see what before may have
been overlooked.
Fish,
like people, can be an endless source of inspiration because
of their uniqueness, beauty and variety.
